  • Looking Back at 2019 and a Year of Travel

My YouTube Rewind of all the Travels in 2019

    Reflecting on the Year

2019 has been such an incredible year of travel and adventure for me, I find it so crazy that each year is so completely different, in both where I am in life and what I experience in the short span of 12 months. I decided to create this 2019 highlight reel for myself as a reminder of how amazing and fun this year’s roller coaster ride was. For the past few years, I have had a lot of pictures and videos that just sit in my camera roll and photo gallery. So I think this video (which took me forever to edit so I am very pleased with it) is such an excellent way to summarize the year!

    Dealing with Personal Life

While overall, the year was incredible, it did have a little bit of a rocky start when I lost my grandfather. February was a very challenging time for my family, and I would so easily be able to say that this was the most exciting year of my life if not for losing someone so close to me. This was the first year I experienced what true grief feels like. Experiencing that loss was a huge part of my year and while the video above is super exciting to look at, it is also a reminder that the projection of life on social media is always just the perfect bits on display. Never the sad ones.

    Travelling All Over Europe

Moving on to a happier note, this year has brought me the most crazy amount of joy and excitement that I have ever felt in my life. I saw my baby brother graduate from university, celebrated my two year wedding anniversary in Mykonos, hiked down Harder Kulm in Switzerland, explored vineyards in Spain, took a bucket list trip with my childhood friend to Paris, fell into Lake Bohinj while paddle boarding, marvelled at the rugged and stunning landscapes of Bavaria, strolled along the French Riviera and walked through the purple fields of Valensole in the South of France.

This year I truly learned what it feels like to be content within yourself, to enjoy life and be grateful for every single day.

    2020 Goals and Dreams

I am so beyond excited and looking forward to 2020. I have so much planned for the next 12 months in terms of travel and self development. I want to grow and learn on this platform like no other year before. I want to see more off the track destinations. I want to push my career into even a higher gear. And I want to never forget to be grateful for the life I have been given and built for myself…not for a minute.

Cheers to an amazing 2019 once again, and here is to 2020!
