  • French Pharmacy Beauty Must Haves

French skincare pharmacy beauty products are some of the most revered in the skincare market. A few years ago, I dipped my toe in the French skincare market and picked up the cult favourite Bioderma Miceller Water. Then I struck gold with the La Roche Posay Effaclar Face Mask and as soon as I started using Caudalie’s body washes, I was officially obsessed with french skincare brands.

Fast forward to my first time in Paris in 2018 when I dragged my husband to the beauty section in a French pharmacy and was in absolute awe at the extensive selection (not to mention almost mouth wateringly epic). If you are ever in the country and thinking of what to buy in France, trust me when I say that french skincare is the way to go. It was absolutely incredible and once you started combing through the shelves it gets very hard to stop. I had known for a while that for a French girl, skincare is not a choice but a lifestyle. Premium skincare being carried by almost all pharmacies across the city and it was evident why going makeup free for most girls was probably not the scariest thought in the world.

Naturally over the last two years, I developed my own addiction to a few of the cult (and my personal) favourite products which, trust me, are absolute game changers at an excellent price point.

Here are some of my absolute ride or die products from my favourite french skincare brands:

    Bioderma Sensibio Miceller Water

An absolute favourite that I have been obsessed with over the last three years. One of the most satisfying things to do (morning or evening) is to soak a large cotton pad and wiped down my face and neck with it. Plus…it is super gentle, fragrance, alcohol and paraben free and it actually feels like water with no oily residue or weird consistency.

    Caudalie Beauty Elixir Face Mist

A pore tightening, glow enhancing and not to mention deliciously soothing fragrant addition to your skincare routine. Not only is it excellent in your skincare, it is also excellent for setting makeup. The mini version is also perfect to pop in your daily tote for on the go refreshing spritz.

Caudalie Thé de Vignes Shower Gel

    CAUDALIE
    $15

This was a totally accidental find on a random day that I ran out of body wash on a trip but thank goodness for it because it really upped my shower game. It’s one of the BEST scented body washes I have ever used. Loaded with aloe vera, it does a fab job of moisturizing + also it has the clean beauty tag of approval!

    La Roche-Posay Effaclar Clay Mask

I have loved this mask for over two years and have raved about it since I first started using it. Even all this time later, my love for it has not wavered. It has a super quick turnaround by drawing out all the oil and declogs pores so quickly it should be in your skincare routine. Again, with the price point it’s excellent.

    Caudalie Vinopure Purifying Gel Cleanser

A recent and new found love of mine, this face wash is absolutely delicious and an excellent treat to clean off the day. My favourite ingredient in here being Salicylic Acid which does an amazing job of cleansing my annoyingly oily t-zone keeping the breakouts and blackheads at bay.
